Ponteland 2nd XV 73 - 0 Newcastle Ravens
Ponteland RFC 2nd XV delivered an outstanding performance at home against Newcastle Ravens yesterday, demonstrating skill, determination, and excellent teamwork from the first whistle to the last.

Even Storm Amy and the gusty, challenging conditions failed to slow the team down. The squad adapted seamlessly to the windy weather, showing that nothing could dampen their focus or energy. Our support play at the breakdown was particularly impressive, allowing the team to maintain momentum and dominate the contact areas throughout the match.
Special mention goes to our stand-off - exceptional with the boot, landing 9 out of 11 conversion attempts despite a strong wind and many tricky wide-angle kicks - a real testament to composure under pressure.
In the forwards, Deano and Seb put in tremendous shifts, consistently winning collisions and providing a solid platform for the backs to execute their plays. On the lighter side, Walton only passed the ball once, proving that his tenacity can keep the rhythm flowing!
Overall, it was a complete team effort, combining resilience, skill, and determination in the face of challenging conditions. With performances like this, the 2nd XV continue to build momentum and set the tone for an exciting season ahead.
