Ponteland Rugby Club was founded in 1967 and has grown into a thriving community club with a strong focus on community and grassroots rugby. From its origins as an accessible, local club, it now supports players of all ages and abilities, while staying true to its community roots.

The club runs two senior men’s teams (including the Mighty Maroons), a growing women’s squad (Ponteland Tigers), a veterans team, and a full mini and junior section from under-6s to under-18s, including a growing girls’ pathway. With over a dozen teams, Ponteland RFC prides itself on developing talent from within and investing in the game we all love.
