Ponteland Rugby Club is very saddened to report the passing of Bill Roddham at the age of 61. Bill played rugby at Ponteland in the late 80s and into the 90s even travelling back at weekends to play for the club after he had moved to York. A formidable and very competitive second row forward, Bill was captain of the 2nd XV and played many games for the 1st XV; he also played for Ponteland Cricket Club where captained both the 1st XI and 2nd XI. Ponteland RFC celebrated another hugely successful Mini & Junior Presentation Day this weekend, with one of the best attended events in the club’s recent history.

Ponteland RFC will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 30th April 2026, starting at 7:00PM, at The Diamond, Ponteland. The AGM is an important opportunity for members to come together, review the past year, and look ahead to the future of the club.
