Ponteland fought bravely and were piped 19-9 by Alnwick on saturday.
For the sharp ones amongst you you will have noticed that I do the match report when our resident sleuth, Chris Morgan is unavailable. With him on the touchline on saturday I left it to him. Unfortunately he was called away( supposedly his mum had his tea ready! ) Anyway, neither of us took notes so this is from memory! ( at my age !! )

Hi all

Just to let you know the crack over Christmas:

27th December: Davey Rae memorial game. Starts at 11am and runs until approximately 12pm. Drinks in the leisure centre afterwards and then onto the Diamond.

New Years day: Wheelbarrow race. Starts at 12pm and runs until someone wins/is sick. If you're interested in participating, get along to the Blackbird at about 11.40 with a partner to get your wheelbarrow!

3rd January: Training recommences at 7pm (Tuesday night). Time to start running off those pies and pints!

Hope to see you at all three events - Merry Christmas all.

Dan

Ponteland lost 29-10 at Acklam. Playing into the wind and up the slope Pont had the game at 10-10 at half time. With the elements in their favour the second half could only be described as a catastrophic meltdown, gifting the game to Acklam.
