Pont 2nds v Gosforth

Pont 2nds v Gosforth top of the table clash sees the first ten mins evens with both sides looking to take the advantage, an early darting run from James Charlton sees Pont 5 metres from gosforths Line, Pont penalty then line out and some great power from Elliot sees him over for the try then a brilliant conv from Lawson 7-0
Pont keep the pressure on with the forwards working hard through Harry, ball out to the backs sees young Charlton down the line but couldn't quite get the ball out to JamesTA on the overlap, but minutes later and three phases of power play from the forwards sees great ball down the line to JamesTA and in for the try 14-0 another great Lawson long range conversions.
Pont were straight back on it again with the forward pack, young Ben and Andrew were working hard with then more senior players helping dominate the breakdowns, 5 metres out and a cheeky Carruthers try and a hat trick of long range conversions from Lawson 21-0
Pont were back on it and not giving an inch seeing Miles over after some good line-out pressure and yet another Lawson conv 28-0, what or who has he had for breakfast today God only knows.
Gosforth came back into the game though towards the end of the half but Ponts forwards dug in well for 5 mins, eventually Pont move back onto the front foot and some attacking quick ball from the backs sees JamesTA stretch for a long range pass and in for a second time

Second half kicks off and Pont were on the charge again and within 5 mins a great Lawson offload sees Sam Walton in for the try and another Lawson conv 40-0 Captain Jack still wanted more though barking out "let's feed off this feeling boys "
Pont responded attacking again but a Gosforth steel just from the re start , not for long though, a great hit from Stromsoy sees Pont penning Gosforth into their own half , Pont kept driving forward Avis kept hitting hard as ever with ball out to Elliott to get a well deserved second try 45-0
With 10 mins still to go ponts forwards still had fuel in the tank and lovely scrummage and ball out to Will at pace sees him over for a deserved try 50-0
Pont still wanted more though and young Matty fancied been on the score sheet but his legs would not carry long enough even though he had already danced through three.
Last 5 mins sees Pont apply even more pressure and a team effort keeping the ball alive sees stromsey in to make it 57-0 a great win and a superb team effort well done to all the squad
