A very even start to the game in the first five minutes, then after 10
Mins the game started to change a little with some good ground made by James Shiels and then James TA but great northern tackling from Northern kept it 0-0
Pont kept applying the pressure and it finally paid off with great ball out from the forwards down the line Luke pulled his player in field to create space then out to James TA to power up the line and in for the try 5-0
Both sides are playing some good rugby end to end, Ponts forwards are down to the breakdown quickly and getting the ball out to the backs well but Northern are matching them.
Some great driving from Scotty towards the line then a great run and try from stromsey 12-0
Northern then started applying pressure but some great tacking from Scotty and the backs kept them out , a quick scrum though and northern went over 12-5 , half time cracking half of good rugby from both side.
Second half Pont ko and a good hit from James TA
Line out Northern get the ball but Pont turn it over and a good individual forwards try from Ben Stewart 17-5, then literally from the ko another cracking run from Ben, kicked it over the top chased, caught the bounce and powered over for a cracking try 24-5
Northern were not going to give it up though and some quick stepping work from their full back made it 24-12
Pont were straight back on it though Jack turning the ball over and a great individual try from James Shiells 29-12
Northern came back again but some great tacking from Pont followed up with a cracking tackle from Connor Beswick to halt a dangerous run.
Pont withstood a good 5 mins of line pressure then a break from Connor full length of the pitch made it 36-12 more good work followed from the forwards and another break away try from Connor 41-12
With the game about over Dan Carruthers found some space and up the field for an individual try 48-12 to top off a good team performance and a well deserved win
