Michael was a long serving member of Ponteland Rugby Club and was an ever-
present supporter with his wife Judy, watching their sons in law Tony and Philip and
then latterly one of their grandsons, Jonathan, play for the Club.

He was a reliable supporter and helper at many Ponteland Beer Festivals being the
‘trusted pair of hands’ collecting the valuable beer tokens from the bars around the
marquee for recirculation.

Michael was a real gentleman and a true ambassador for Ponteland Rugby Club.
He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends, but never forgotten. The funeral will take place on Tuesday 16 th April at 12.30 at West Road Crematorium, Newcastle upon Tyne.
